Preserving our history
telling our story
building on the legacy of the brave women who came before us

Women's history, so long overlooked, undervalued, and untold, holds lessons that are deep, rich, complex, and powerful. As we approach the Centennial of the passage of the 19th amendment in 2020, we share the history of our ongoing fight for women's rights, which began with the founding of the NWP in 1913, to inspire future generations of women's rights leaders, encourage scholarship and research of this radical moment in women's history, and bring to life the change-makers who shaped our modern fight for women's equality.

So explore our collection, discover our blog, read about our history, or visit the Monument. And when you're ready, we hope you'll become a part of our story, too.
